about

The story of „Wzium 610” the transporter flight has remained a mystery for a long time. Only the few has spoken about what happened there, but their voice has been purposely ignored. Only now the members of Vysoké Čelo decided to uncover the pages of history by presenting the most mysterious and non-literal part of it, which can be understood on many levels. Vysoké Čelo presents the universe, where Mirosław Hermaszewski in the form of Franek Kimono (polish disco rap pioneer) is organizing a space party on board of his rocket. And yes, you are invited!

But Vysoké Čelo’s new album is definitely something more than just a story about space party. Even though disco influences take a toll on whole record, most of all, “Wzium!” is filled with the visions of interstellar and self-exploration. Unrequited love, carefree dreams about space flights and longing for the Earth – these are the main topics, which are presented in light and folksy form, enriching their catchy and lively music with solid portion of nostalgia.

Although the atmoshpere of cosmic space party dominates the musical layer, it is presented in different ways with each song. The story told on “Wzium!” is also a journey to previously hidden inspirations, polish 80’s new romantic, 90’s eurodance, coldwave and even some polish underground hip hop. In the end, we are getting truly eclectic music, which forms a surprisingly coherent whole.

It is worth mentioning, that this another stylistic volte-face is strictly connected with a new chapter in band’s life. Two new members have joined Vysoké Čelo in order to start performing their music live. Since then, the music has started to evolve into more lively and rhythm-oriented, which was exactly what they were looking for. Hence, “Wzium!” has been created. Juicy bass, beefy kick drum, techno vibes and pure fun. It just had to end like this. Ladies and gentleman, let's party in space!
